CycleCore wasn't created to chase venture capital or collect data. It started with a simple, personal problem: my partner needed a cycle tracker, but we weren't willing to trade her privacy for it.
Why CycleCore Exists
My partner and I were looking for a simple way to plan our lives together, and that meant being aware of her cycle. We tried the popular mobile apps, but the more we read, the more uncomfortable we became. Every app seemed to demand access to the cloud, collecting and analyzing deeply personal data. In a world where data breaches are common and privacy is paramount, this felt like a broken promise.
We wanted a tool, not a data service. Something that lived on our own computer, completely under our control. Something that was fast, private, and focused on the essential task of planning—without the creepy ads or the fear of our information ending up in the wrong hands.
When we couldn't find what we were looking for, I decided to build it. I'm a developer who believes that the best software respects its users. CycleCore is the result of that belief. It's the tool we wanted for ourselves: simple, powerful, and private by design.

What platforms does CycleCore support?
CycleCore is designed as a desktop-first experience with Windows as the primary target. The core apps are written in Python with a Tkinter interface and can be packaged as native executables for Windows. Mac builds are planned.
Is this a medical device?
No. CycleTracker Pro and Cycle Harmony are informational tools for planning, awareness, and conversation. They do not provide medical diagnoses and are not a replacement for professional healthcare.
How is this different from Flo, Clue, and other apps?
Most mobile apps are cloud-connected and driven by accounts and analytics. CycleCore is desktop-first and local-only by design: no accounts, no data selling, no push notifications. You gain privacy and control, at the cost of not having a phone app (yet).
Can I move my data to a new computer?
Yes. Because your data lives in normal files, you can copy your CycleCore data folder to a new machine. Future versions will add a simple backup & restore flow to make this even easier.
Do I pay separately for CycleTracker Pro and Cycle Harmony?
Yes. Each app is licensed separately so you can buy only what you need. Many users start with one and add the other later if they find the CycleCore engine helpful.
Will I get updates?
Yes. Your purchase includes all updates for the v1.x line of the app you bought. Major upgrades (like deep analytics or mobile apps) may be offered as separate paid versions in the future.
